The group said this in a statement by its media director, Yinka Diamond, on Thursday.
The group also commended responsiveness and resoluteness of the Aregbesola led-administration for achieving what he described as 'a milestone of economic inclusion and aggregation of interest in ensuring prosperity for all.
He said, "Aregbesola's action had met Osun's age-long desire to have a legal framework whereby accountability, transparency and value for money as regard government procurement would easily be access by the public. The bill should be publicised. Its provisions should be strictly enforced against any offender
"It will help government eliminate waste, reduce cost of governance and ultimately give room for accountability and transparency in the system as well as administrative efficiency – as well as small and medium scale enterprises opportunity to participate in economic opportunities and benefits embedded in public procurement."
It will be recalled that Aregbesola on Wednesday signed 81 sections Public Procurement Bill into law.
He said the law will help in no small way to turn around the financial capacity of the state.
Aregbesola while signing the bill at the Governor's office, Abere, said the bill was necessary because of its provision for open competitive bidding.
He added that the bill is aimed at reducing cost of governance which he said is necessary at a time when economy of the nation is in "special period."
