Woman, Step Dad Arrested For Dumping Grandchild's Corpse In Osun
A grand-mother and one other person have been caught when they were attempting to dump the corpse of a seven-year-old girl, Iyadun Ajayi, at the back of her father's house in Esa-Oke, Obokun Local Goevrnment Council, in Osun State.
It was learnt through a resident in Osogbo that the incident happened on Thursday night.
It was gathered that the young girl was living with her mother, who divorced the husband some years ago.
It was also learnt that the mother proceeded to marry an Islamic scholar in Ilesa after her divorce.
Sources told our correspondent that the girl whose corpse was dumped had been ill for quite long and attempt to heal her proved abortive.
After her death, her mother, identified as Funke asked her mother ( grandmother) and a driver, one Kassim and her new husband to dump the girl's body at the back of her former husband's house in Esa Oke.
It was while they were dumping the girl's corpse, the source said, some residents saw them and raised the alarm.
A resident said, "We saw the people and challenged them. We discovered that they came to dump corpse of a seven year old girl at the back of her father.
