An
information communications solution provider in Nigeria, Signal
Alliance Limited, has said it is restructuring its operations to suit
the power sector’s need.
The Chief Executive Officer of the
company, Mr. Collins Onuegbu, said the restructuring was an ongoing
project that would end by December.
According to him, on the completion of the restructuring, the company will take on a group format as a new company.
Onuegbu said, “What it means is that I’ll
cease to run the company on a daily basis and assume the role of Group
CEO, with my interest being in leadership, ideas and new ventures.
“The 17-year old company will be bringing
to bear its management expertise and creativity in the IT scene that
had made it one of the leading lights in the nation’s technology space,
winning multiple awards on an annual basis. The intention of the company
is to leverage on its relationship with various top-level Original
Equipment Manufacturers to provide critical IT solutions for the
emerging power sector as well as other sectors of the economy.”
He listed assets management, personnel and customer service management as areas where the company’s impact would be felt.
He also said the company had the capacity to deploy smart metering and tracking solutions for the sector.
Onuegbu said, “Creating efficiency and
using IT to run the power sector is given, and we are poised to show the
power companies what IT can do for them by partnering with the relevant
ministry and regulators in the sector, on the advantages IT will bring
to bear in their sector.”
