Oki rules Arco t’tennis

Seye Oki on Friday won the 3rd Arco Petrochemical Engineering Company Plc table tennis championship at Ikoyi Club.
Oki defeated Gbolahan Okuneye 3-1 in the men’s singles to lift the trophy.
In the men’s doubles, the pair of Oki and Sheikh Adna beat the pair of Okuneye and Soji Aladesuru 3-0.
Adna defeated V. Da Costa 4-1 in the Best of Seven to rule the category.
The championship also featured a
ceremonial exhibition match between the Group Managing Director of
Arco Petrochemical Engineering Company, Mr. Alfred Okoigun, and the
Chairman of the Ikoyi Club (table tennis section), Chief Femi Oduntan.
Speaking at the end of the competition, Chairman of the Club, Mr. Wale Doherty praised the players for their performances.
Okoigun, whose company sponsored the
tournament, said, “I observed that the people who participated in the
competition were happy. This will encourage us to be consistent in our
objective to continue to promote recreation among members of Ikoyi
Club.”
