The Director, Dansol High School, Agindingbi, Lagos, Mrs. Adun Akinyemiju, has urged pupils to make the best use of educational opportunities created for them by their parents.
This was contained in a paper delivered by Akinyemiju during the speech and prize giving day ceremony of the school on Tuesday.
According to her, since the only legacy that a parent can bequeath to his or her children is education pupils who had the privilege of exposure to good education should not throw away the opportunity.
Also the Guest Speaker at the event, Prof. Emmanuel Akinade of the Department of Counseling and Psychology, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, while delivering his lecture titled, The Challenges of Being an Achiever in the Contemporary Nigerian Society, challenged the pupils to cultivate habits that would assist them in navigating through the rough roads of life.
He said parents were doing their best in making education accessible to them. This, he said, should motivate them to take their studies seriously.
He lauded the efforts of the school management and teachers for the level of education being imparted into the children, adding that it would go a long way to enhance the development of the pupils.
