Babcock gets new management board
The authorities of the Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State have appointed new board members to manage the affairs of the university.
They are Dr. Janet Ola as Chairman; Adetayo Adesoji, Secetary; Fasanu Olabode; Mrs. Adebawojo Bolanle;and Mrs. Uchedu C.I.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Kayode Makinde, urged them to be committed to lifting the institution to loftier heights.
Makinde said, “As members of the management board, they are appointed to protect the present and build the future of the university. This is why they must manage the affairs of the university with passion and achievable vision. It is possible that they will face certain challenges but with faith in God and dedication to duty, they will excel.
“I am challenging everyone on the board to collaborate with one another and seek advice from the former board members to ease their job. There must be continuity because it is the secret of sustainability. The outgoing board members have done their best and we hope that the new ones will do better.”
The former chairman of the board, Prof. Dayo Alao, said change was important for any organisation to meet its objective.
He added, “There is always a time when you step out and step in but stepping in is more glorious. I enjoin the new board members to ensure transparency in their activities for the school to grow further.”
