EISNL trains engineers in devices procurement, maintenance
Engineering
Solutions and Devices Limited has trained engineers and stakeholders in
the construction industry in facility procurement and maintenance.
The training tagged, ‘Industrial
maintenance optimisation conference,’ included workshops and seminars
for the participants handled by EISNL partners.
The partners are Brook Crompton; SKF; DeWalt; Horizon Conveyor Equipment; Cobra and Sew Eurodrive.
Managing Director of the group, Mr.
Ajibola Olajide, noted that engineers needed to be trained for better
operation of equipment.
He said, “It is not enough to be able to
recognise the equipment, it is important to understand their usage
without necessarily using any guide. This is why special trainings on
procurement and maintenance are compulsory for them.
“We see this as our responsibility and
we are discharging it in the best way possible. Our belief is that by
the time the beneficiaries of the training are leaving here, they will
be better handlers of equipment.”
According to the participants, the training was an eye-opener, which would enhance productivity in companies.
One of them, representing Dangote Cement
Company, Mrs. Hamdalat Akanbi, said the training, if enforced by the
engineers, would bring about development.
“It is a very good thing and very
beneficial. The lessons learnt from the training will, to a large
extent, help the development and growth of every trainee company if
implemented,” she added.
Another participant from Wapco Lafarge, Babatunde Kareem, urged the organisers to expand the scope of the training.
He said, “It is an educative gathering
and has actually exposed a lot of us to the use of our equipment. It is a
standard seminar, but I will prefer the organisers to expand the scope
for our general knowledge.”
