An Ile-Ife Magistrate Court has remanded one accused person,
Erioluwa Olanrewaju, 24, for illicit affairs with one Kudirat
Akintide,13.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt Sunday Osanyintuyi told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 19, 2015 at Omilode Compound Ifetedo, in Ife South Local Government of Osun.
Osanyintuyi said that the accused forcefully had carnal knowledge of Kudirat Akintide.
He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 221 (1) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The Presiding Magistrate Dorcas Ajiboye did not take the plea of the accused, but remanded him in prison custody.
Ajiboye blamed Kudirat’s parent for their negligence in caring for their daughter, saying their lackadaisical attitude lured the girl into that circumstance.
She promised to transfer the case to welfare home, where the state government would take proper care of the girl to have brighter future.
