Osun workers insist on full payment, allege sabotage

Friday, March 04, 2016

Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola,
The leadership of Osun State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has insisted that workers would not resume work unless they were paid their full salaries.
Its Chairman, Comrade Jacob Adekomi, said this at a press conference held in Osogbo.
‎The doctors have also debunked comments that they were not bothered about the welfare of the public.
He asserted that, “if there is a time to react to such ungodly comments that labour leaders in the state entered into an agreement of payment of 50 per cent of salaries, the time is now.
“The labour leaders did not signed any agreement with the state government to be receiving 50% salary for a period of 3months.
“The government is aware of this fact, which explains our demand that there be payment of full salary to officers in grade level 01 – 07 and following from the agreement. The government is indebted to officers on grade level 08 and above, and it is duty of the state government to pay the balance of 50% to the affected officers.”
