Armed robbers yesterday killed one of the civil defence corps working at Ooni's residence in parakin,Ile-ife.
It was learnt that,the officer was shot infront of the house while going to buy a recharge card into his set phone.
The deceased had earlier informed his colleague that he would soon be back from where he went to buy the card before he met his death.
The robbers was said to be coming from an operation when they sighted the Civil defence official on their way back, shot him repeatedly before he died.
After they shot him, the bandits were said to have ran away and shot sporadically on the air to scare residents of the area.
Sources noted that the deceased was in his cold blood without help from no where.
All efforts to reach the spokesperson of the civil Defence corps in osun state, Mr Wale Folarin for comment proved abortive.
