The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suffered a fresh
setback in Edo State as Etsako Central Local Government chairman of the party, Sheikh
Murktari Ilenoba, led over 1,200 to the All Progressives Congress in Udaba ward
8 of the Local Government.
Sheikh Ilenoba who he took the decision because he has “seen
the light” said: “I was the remaining oxygen of the PDP in Etsako Central but
now that I have left the party, the PDP is dead and gone in this local
government.”
Other PDP leaders who joined the APC alongside Sheikh
Ilenoba include PF Abebe, Mr. Isaac Iyerimah, Mr Agbata Godsdey, Mrs Alice
Okwuofu, Mrs Felicia Eletso Omokhoba, Chief Peter Alumhialo Ozimah, Mrs
Margarret Ilageji Ayemoba and Mrs Amina Okolo, among others.
Receiving the decampees on behalf of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, the member representing Etsako
Central in Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Lawani Damian assured the new APC
members of equal rights in the party.

attracted development to Udaba and Etsako Central. He told the people that
under APC government, the people of Udaba now have light, a modern market, and
the Primary and Secondary Schools in the area have been reconstructed and rehabilitated.
Zonal Leader of the APC in the area, Alhaji Waziri Oshioma,
Capt Emma Oshiogbehele , Comrade John Akhigbe, the Council Chairman Hon Charles
Eshiesimua were also on hand to receive the new members.
