> Osun Assembly Directs Early Presentation of 2016 State Budget

> Osun State House of Assemly has directed the executive to present the 2016 budget within the next one week.
>
> The Speaker, Honourable Najeem Salaam gave the directive at the plenary on Tuesday.
>
> He said the earlier presentation of the bill would assist the Assembly to plan for its scrunity in a way that would make it serve the purpose for the development of the state.
>
> "This is the last month of the year and we hope that before the end of this week, or probably early next week, we will have the budget of the state for 2016.
>
> "As the house is winding up for the year, we urge the executive to present the budget not later than next week, otherwise, the house will not be there to help them.
>
> "We must have the budget before the expiration of the month, so that we can plan on how to go about it and give holidays to our members who will want to travel for holidays", he said.
>
> He also charged members of the house to always be on standby to receive the budget and begin its scrutiny immediately it is presented.
