100,000 for RON Musical Concert

In about 48 hours, the grounds of the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos will play host to 100,000 people for the yearly Reach-Out Nigeria activities in celebration of the Nigeria’s independence.

According to a statement by the organisers on Thursday, Nigerian-born International gospel artistes such as Buchi, Frank Edward, Eben, Ada, Joe Praise, and Jahdiel among others will be on ground to entertain the people.

The concert, organised by Christ Embassy was aimed at engaging young people in nation building and develop their capacity to shun the vices of contemporary society, the statement said.

It read in part: “We strongly believe that to change a country, you must first change the people, and the only way to change the people is with the word of God. The Concert is a new addition, and is free and open to members of the public. An estimated 100,000 people are expected at the ground of TBS from 12 noon.

“The Reach-Out Nigeria (RON) is a movement that was birthed six years ago with the objective of stirring up the patriotic spirit in every Nigerian and to motivate every individual to contribute to the building of the Nigeria of our dreams, according to the Organisers.

"Our intent is to take advantage of the most potent change agent available to man, the Word of God. This is why a major part of the RON campaign, is the yearly distribution of millions of copies of the world's most widely circulated daily devotional - Rhapsody of Realities (ROR). Now we will also be reaching out in Music that will uplift and inspire.”
