RwandAir appoints Balogun country manager for Tanzania
National
carrier of Rwanda, RwandAir, has transferred its Country Manager in
Nigeria, Mr. Hafeez Balogun, to Tanzania as the new Country Manager for
the East African country.
The transfer will take effect from
September 1, 2013 with Fifi Rurungwa from Congo Brazzaville named as the
airline’s new Country Manager for Nigeria.
Balogun explained during a raffle draw
in the airline’s “Fly and Win Promo” that the transfer was aimed at
positioning the airline to offer better services to its customers across
the globe.
At the draw, which was held on Tuesday,
Omogbai Favour emerged as the winner, less than three weeks after she
boarded the plane (on August 9) to Dubai.
She emerged winner after a random selection of boarding pass of passengers that bought tickets in Lagos.
Balogun said the winner would be
rewarded with a free ticket to a destination of their choice in Rwanda
in August and September, adding that other winners would emerge soon.
A statement by the company announcing
the posting of Balogun to Tanzania, read in part, “During his 15 months
in charge of RwandAir’s operations in Nigeria, the airline recorded
progressive growth in the country, which resulted in it being a toast of
the business and sports communities in the country.”
