Pray for Jonathan on second term bid –Abiara

General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Prophet Kayode Abiara
General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Abiara, has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Goodluck Jonathan over his ambition to contest for second term, a statement said on Wednesday.

Abiara said this while speaking on ‘President Goodluck Jonathan and second term bid’ in a message he delivered at the 3rd annual Christian pilgrimage to Odo-Owa, Kwara State.

He said, “Questions have been raised from different quarters as to whether Jonathan will go for second term or not. I want to say here that Nigerians should be patient with the President.

“Let us pray for him and leave the rest for God to decide when his time as the President will end. I can tell you categorically that God owns Nigeria, so He will intervene in our situations.”

The cleric advised Nigerians to engage in activities that would aid self employment.

Abiara added, “I want to encourage Nigerians not to put all their hopes in the government because the government alone cannot solve all of the problems. One of the things the unemployed could do is to learn to become self-employed.

“There are still opportunities in farming and other vocational activities. Another thing is for people to keep praying for the government so that they will continue to make policies that will make lives more comfortable for the citizens.”
