OGUN NAMES NEW VC FOR TASUED
The Ogun State Government today announced the appointment of Professor Oluyemisi Oluremi Obilade as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun.

            In a Statement in Abeokuta, the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa said the appointment takes immediate effect.

            The Government also relieved the incumbent Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Segun Awonusi of his appointment.

            The new VC, Professor Oluremi Obilade who has varied teaching experience spanning over 30 years was at diffrent times Commissioner for Education and Acting Commissioner for Health in Osun State.

 A seasoned educationist and Professor of Education in the Department of Continuing Education, Faculty of Education of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Obilade has a Doctorate degree in Education from the Obafemi Awolowo University. 

She also holds Executive Business Education Certificates of the Havard Business School, Havard University, United States of America as well as that of Judge Business School, Cambridge University, United Kingdom.

She belongs to various professional bodies including the Nigerian National Council for Adults Education (NNCAE); Nigeria Society of Educators (NSE); Adult Education and Poverty Reduction Network, United Kingdom among others.

Professor Obilade is a Fellow of H.E.R.S Academy, Cape Town, South Africa and International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation, Washington DC, United States of America. She is married to Professor T.O. Obilade and the union is blessed with four children.

            With this development, Professor Obilade becomes the 3rd Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
