Ashafa urges selfless service in New Year
The lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Gbenga Ashafa, has urged leaders in the country to dedicate their efforts to national development.
In a good will message on Tuesday, the senator said Nigerians should welcome the New Year with minds of hope despite the various challenges facing the nation.
He said, "Every moment of our life is most precious. We should not fritter it away in useless pursuits, but devote it in the search of building the Nation to compete with the rest of the world in all ramifications."
He advised Nigerians to continue to promote the unity of the country in its progressive march towards nationhood.
