The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has banned  Falz "This is Nigeria", Olamide "See Mary, See Jesus" and Wande Coal's "Iskaba".

It will be recalled that Falz's song generated a lot of controversy among Nigerians, especially Muslims over the use of hijab by his dancers.

This was proven by NBC's fining of media station in Jos for airing Nigerian songs which they claim contains "vulgar and indecent music lyrics".

In the letter addressed to JODAJ Global Communications Ltd, they stated that the media station pay the fine of N100,000 according to section 14.1.4.1a.

The songs listed are:

The offensive lyrics are as follows:

  • Falz- This is Nigeria–  This is Nigeria, look how we living now, everybody be criminal
  • Wande Coal- Iskaba Girl you dey make me kolo, shaking the ass like kolo
  • Olamide- See Mary, See Jesus– Casual use of the names of "Mary" and "Jesus"
