The union also expressed their appreciation to the Governor for giving them a sense of belonging and securing their future. They therefore, pledged to redouble their efforts and improve on their productivity.
Responding, Governor Ahmed restated his commitment to ending the salary crisis affecting certain categories of workers in the state, with the recent prioritisation of basic education teachers' salaries in the distribution of local government allocation.
The Governor also noted that the government is doing everything in its power to rectify the ongoing but regrettable salary crisis at the local government level in the state brought on by the huge drop in federal allocation to all tiers of government across the country.
