Police arraign man for stealing motorcycle‎

A 20-year-old man, Afeez Adedokun, has been arraigned by the police before Modakeke Magistrate Court for stealing Motorcycle.

The Police prosecutor, Sgt Ona Glory, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 2, 2016 around 6:30 pm at Twins Hotel Iraye, Modakeke-Ife.

Glory said that the accused conspired with others now at large to commit felony to wit stealing; stole one Boxer Bajaj Motorcycle, , Reg No. APP 780 QG, Chassis No MDZA18AZXFWJ4909 and Eng.NO. DUZWFJ50725.

He added that the stolen motorcycle valued N152,000, property of one Ayobami Ayomide.

According to him, the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 383 (1) and punishable under sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.

The Defence Counsel, Mr Victor Arojo, appealed for the bail of his client in most Libra term, pledged that his client would not jump bail, but produce reliable sureties.

Senior Magistrate Bose Awosan granted the bail of the accused in the sum of N20, 000 with two sureties each in like amount.

Awosan added that sureties must swear to affidavit of means, be a family member and produce two recent passport photographs.

She adjourned the case till March 23 for hearing. ‎
