Youths set man ablaze for butchering woman, 2 kids

Irate youths from Ikot Ansa community in Calabar Municipal Council of Cross River State penultimate week descended on one Edet Udoidung who allegedly invaded the home of a petty trader, Mrs. Glory Albert and slaughtered her and two of her children.
Udoidung whose mental disposition was yet to be established according to sources was allegedly living on hard drugs.
He was accused to have invaded 41 Joseph Mkpang Street at Ikot Ansa at about 2 pm with a machete with which he allegedly used to butcher Glory and her two children, Cecilia Albert, aged, 15 and Rita Albert, aged 9.
According to a source, Edet allegedly left his house at 41 Joseph Mkpang and went into the next compound where he allegedly killed the woman and her two kids.
“The woman did not go to her shop early that morning. Although, she did some work on her garden and naturally after the work, she decided to take a nap. She was sleeping in her room while her kids were in the parlour when the man enlightened with his machete one after the other.
However, the woman and the two girls died from the matchet cuts, the son, Micah who survived suffered machete cuts but is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
