...rejects Ariyo's second term bid over non-performance allegation, others
A group, Voice of Oshodi (VOS) has warned leaders of All Progressive Congress (APC) leaders in the area against granting Bolaji Ariyoh a second term ticket.
Ariyo was a former Council Chairman of Oshodi before administrators were appointed to manage Local Governments and Councils in Lagos.
The group in a press statement on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, Tunde Daminike, accused Ariyo of poor performance.
Among other allegations listed against Ariyo are: Lack of decorum and respect for party elders, workers, bureaucracy ethics, rule of law and governance; lack of visions and clueless approach to human painstaking agenda
"Connivance with the dishonourable 'Dynamic Leaders' who go about imposing wrong leaders against the Choice of the people under the guise of Asiwaju's name
"Humiliation of Public Servants, Party Members, Residents and more!"
The statement read further, " This is a major clarion call from the great people of Oshodi, VOICE of OSHODI (VOS) to our distinguished Party leaders and members that we don't want Ariyoh again. Our stance is with stiff affirmation that not again will Oshodi people accept such bad egg like Ariyoh again.
"BOLAJI Ariyoh's tenure as the council Chairman with subsequent relinquish of power to one of his cronies (DAUD OLAJOBI) as Executive Secretary (ES) can only be better explained with bitter tales as recorded by the Council workers and the good people of Oshodi, who gave witness accounts on how ARIYOH milked the system and abused rule of law with his incessant insolence acts to bureaucratic ethics, public servants, party elders/leaders, party members, associates and everyone!"
The group subsequently urged leaders of the party not to allow the return of Ariyoh result to losing their heritage - Oshodi/Isolo - to the hands of opposition again as it were.
The group added, "We shall not give the likes of ARIYOH our mandate. It's no doubt that he will never feel remorseful nor change but continue gallivanting and laying claims to the fact that he would remain 'untouchable' no matter how he goes wrong, as long as the distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu remains his god mother!
"Perhaps, we remain committed and loyal to the party but with resolute against thorns like ARIYOH. Our decision is final and we are appealing to our indefatigable Leader, Senator BOLA TINUBU, the amiable, Silently hard Woking Governor. Ambode who is making the State proud by not failing in the developmental template of the party and Party to help us birth a new Gateway, Oshodi with Capable, Visionary and Achievement oritend hands
"We urge for your support in the forthcoming Elections, as we bury the wasteful years of ARIYOH's reign in our book of history!"
