Mixed Reactions Trail Ebonyi SSG's Resignation
Mixed reactions have trailed the resignation of Prof. Bernard Odoh, as the Secretary to Ebonyi State Government.

Opposition politicians in Ebonyi on Tuesday in Abakaliki lauded the resignation describing the action as one taken in 'good' faith.
The opposition politicians mainly from the All Progressives Congress (APC) said that the resignation was a vindication of the party's position that Gov. Dave Umahi was running a one-man administration.
The state Acting Chairman of the APC, Mr Eze Nwachukwu, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) commended

"The resignation is a good development, a decision taken to demonstrate that there is a disconnect in the administration, we commend the erudite professor for taking the right step in the right direction.
"We commend his courage, his boldness for quitting the administration and this has gone a long way in vindicating the position of APC on Umahi's administration.
"This is a government that has no feeling for the poor, this is a government that is so undemocratic, this is a government that does not adhere to due process, and has no respect for
"We are waiting to welcome back the professor into the fold of the progressives where he belongs,'' Nwachukwu said.
An APC chieftain, and former Commissioner for Works and Transportation, and Environment in Ebonyi, Dr Paul Okorie, noted that the SSG by his resignation exercised his right to freedom of choice.
"It is the right of any appointee in government to choose when to leave and when not to leave, and Odoh by his action yesterday only exercised this freedom of choice,'' Okorie said.
