The Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali, has commenced tour of inspection of all police formations within the command today, Tuesday 15th March, 2016 with Ilaro Area command.
The Commissioner of Police did address officers and men of the area command headquarters Ilaro on Tuesday on topical issues as affect the police duties and operations in the area.
The Police Boss also warned the personnel to maintain dignity and good reputation of the Nigeria police Force with a view to promoting mutual understanding and cooperation with the general public.
The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali however vowed to deal decisively with any erring or recalcitrant officers and men who engage themselves in any act capable of denting the image of the force.
CP Abdulmajid Ali, while in Ilaro, visited the palace of the Olu and Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, where the Commissioner of Police had a security meeting with the Oba and other traditional rulers on ground.
The Commissioner's of Police entourage includes the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence DCP Shina Olukolu, Deputy Commissioner of Police, department of Operations, DCP Bello Makwashi, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Training and Development, ACP Jude Azuka, officer in charge Special Anti Robbery Squad, CSP Gbenga Megbope officer in charge State Intelligence Bureau CSP Amina Yakubu, DSP OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI Police PRO Ogun State DSP Rafiu Olawale Abiola etc.
While the tour of the command lasts, the Commissioner of Police will visit traditional rulers, community leaders, heads of sister security agencies, Police Community Relations Committee members, etc and have tete-a-tete with members of the public and stakeholders at various town hall meetings in major towns within Ogun State.
The police boss is expected to tour the 47 Divisional Police Stations, some Police Stations and Out posts and 5 Area commands including Sango, Ijebu Ode, Sagamu and Abeokuta area commands, and some very relevant police formations, particular the Police Mobile Force base in Abeokuta, Marine Police Bases at Iwopin, Ibiade in Abigi and Ipokia, Special Anti Robbery Squad base, etc.
The Commissioner of Police Ogun State therefore urges members of the public to yield to the calls from his officers to attend some of the town hall meetings where many topical security issues will be raised and trashed-out for adequate protection of lives and property.
